About YOFAK

Organization background

Yours Forum for Actions Kenya (YOFAK) formerly known as Youth Fighting HIV/AIDS in Kenya is a non-profit making Civil Society Organization that was formed in 1997 and registered as a Community Based Organization in the year 2006.

Through the Organizational Development and system strengthening modular developed by Amref Health Africa in Kenya, YOFAK has mentored 42 other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Homa Bay County and formed a Civil Society network comprising of the 42 CSOs in Homa Bay County and a member of Homa Bay County Health Sector Working Group.

The organization implements programs  aimed at reducing new incidences and the impact of HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria, Promoting Maternal and Child health, Providing Sexual reproduction Health Services and enhancing effective referral for continuum of care, support and treatment services to various Vulnerable, key, priority, and the general populations in Homa Bay County and other Counties in Kenya.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE & POLICIES

The organization is guided by leadership and governance structures that comprise of: Board of Directors, employed staffs, Volunteer staffs, and interns from higher and tertiary learning institutions. The policies guiding the organizational operations include but not limited to Human Resource policy, Finance policy, Constitution, Volunteer policy, Board of Directors Charter, child protection policy, Safeguarding policy, amongst other policies that may have not been sighted herein
