Who are we?
Yours Forum for Actions Kenya (YOFAK) formerly known as Youth Fighting HIV/AIDS in Kenya is a non-profit making Civil Society Organization that was formed in 1997 and registered as a Community Based Organization in the year 2006.
Through the Organizational Development and system strengthening modular developed by Amref Health Africa in Kenya, YOFAK has mentored 42 other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Homa Bay County and formed a Civil Society network comprising of the 42 CSOs in Homa Bay County and a member of Homa Bay County Health Sector Working Group.
Program Focus
Support Community Health promoters (CHPs)
Support Community Health promoters (CHPs) to visit households of bacteriologically confirmed of DS-TB patients for health education and referral
Conduct Organizational Development
Conduct Organizational Development and Systems Strengthening (ODS) and mentorship to Civil Society organizations
Support national and county champions
Support national and county champions to conduct media engagement and Mobilization
High Level Engagement of National and County Legislators
High Level Engagement of National and County Legislators through community led social mobilization campaigns to include domestic resources
Facilitate CHVs
Facilitate CHVs to conduct tracing of TB treatment interrupters (3% will be lost to follow up if not traced
